I mean not just art but playfulness, seriousness, connectedness, structure, wholeness. And heart.
Free Play (Nachmanovitch, S. 1993)

Hi, I’m Polly! My illustrations are a culmination of playful paintings and objects that communicate the interconnectivity between adults and children.
I create compassionate and joyful artwork, parading with movement, that are influenced by my personal relationships with my parents and my own nostalgia of childhood.
I am a champion for allowing for better communication between adults and children and balancing the authority.
Playful and imaginative spaces allow us as adults to better connect with our inner child and I communicate these themes of childhood through picture-books, performances, and cardboard structures.
I completed my undergraduate degree with a First in Illustration at Cardiff Metropolitan University in 2022. In my final year I collaborated with a fellow illustrator to illustrate a children's book: The Fairy Who Lived In A Pop-Can, which was published the next year in 2023. In 2025 I graduated my Masters in Illustration and Animation at Cardiff Met.
